PFC to Develope "Big Daddy's Barbeque" Into Feature Film
Award-winning indie filmmaker Rick Pamplin and headliner/stand-up comedian Jeff Wayne have reached agreement to make Wayne's one-man show "Big Daddy's Barbeque" into a feature film. Wayne has toured with the show for 10 years and has given over 1,000 performances. Variety says "Wayne is a one-man riot." The Los Angeles Times proclaims "Hilarious, Wayne is a new Will Rogers!" Pamplin and Wayne first worked together in Hollywood in the late 80's. "I see the film version as W.C. Fields meets 'Death of a Salesman'," says Pamplin. Wayne and Pamplin will produce and co-write the screenplay with Pamplin directing.
